Most of people nowadays like shopping. It’s come like a hobby. There are 2 kind of shopping nowadays souqs and malls. In this essay I will compare and contrast shopping in malls and souqs.
There are many similarities between shopping in malls and souqs. First similarity is that there are many shops in both. Yet another similarity is that you can buy same things. Last similarity I will cover is that there are many kind of items.
On the other hand there are also some differences between them. One difference is that the souq cheaper than malls. Another difference is that every mall has a cinema so you can see a movie when you are shopping but the souq hasn’t. last difference is that souq is open area but malls are closed.
I my opinion shopping in malls is better than souqs because its modern and more comfortable. And you can find park for your car easy, but it is harder to find parking in souqs.

Portfolios: Paper or Online
In Abu Dhabi Men’s college there are some basic subjects that student has to pass them. One of these subjects is English 125. In English 125 students must make a portfolio. Some portfolios are on papers and some of them on the internet it’s depend on your teacher. In this essay will compare and contrast online and paper-based portfolios and give my preference.
The Portfolio is collection of your work that you do in the semester. It’s save everything and it shows your skills. Some examples of portfolios are online portfolios and paper based portfolios. Its show the teacher student’s ability so it’s easy on the teacher to give his assessment. There are many advantages and disadvantages and in this essay I will list some of these advantages of having these 2 portfolios.
A paper-based portfolio is traditional way. That means writing your works in papers and collected in file with dividers. Paper-based portfolio has many disadvantages. One of these disadvantages is that it’s bulky because u will need many papers in one semester; also it’s easy to lose because you have only one copy. Second disadvantage is that difficult to edit and share or show it to employers. Third disadvantage is that no internet connection required. Last disadvantage I will cover it is that teacher comments clearly visible and the students editing too.
In the other hand online portfolio is the new way. That means every student has made account in www.blogger.com to get his own page and put his work there. Online portfolio has many advantages. One advantage is that online portfolio is demonstrated that the user is computer literate. Yet another major advantage is that it’s easy to edit and its can be private or shared. Another amazing advantage is that you can use new media like sounds, videos and presentations. Another important advantage is that other you can comment on others essays and other can comment yours.
Faculty founds the portfolio is the great way to learn and is the easiest for the students. in my opinion online portfolio is better because student can communicate with other student any time in the internet and its modern.
